Insulator Cleaning & Inspection Service
Cleaning of insulators & maintaining pole integrity are ways of reducing outages
& ultimately a cost saving. At Tiede’s we have developed a comprehensive insulator cleaning service to include inspection
of power lines, pole towers & fixtures.
We visibly inspect hardware by tightening & replacing any critical items the client needs.
- Cleaning of insulators on 12.5KV to 69 KV lines while energized.
- Material is calcium powder & used in conjunction with a hot stick wand.
- Nozzle is covered with insulating material approved for high voltage the air hose is kept dry
by using water evaporating pellets.
- Only Journeymen are utilized
in this process with rated safety equipment for 69kv.

Equipment is tested & passed for a Dielectric rating of 69KV
